The Company was
established in 1947 as a wholly owned subsidiary of
leading Scandinavian owners, namely Wilh. Wilhelmsen
(Norway), Swedish East Asia (Sweden) and East Asiatic
Co. (Denmark). It was acquired by the Kotak Group in
1972.
The Company with its Head
Office in Mumbai, has its own offices at all major Indian
Ports and Inland Container Depots.
ULA is accredited with
prestigious ISO 9001:2000 Certification.
The Company employs on
its rolls over 345 dedicated, qualified and highly experienced
personnel to handle services of Ship Agency, Stevedoring,
Ship Chartering, Freight Forwarding (MTO), Ownership
& Management of CFS and Container Terminals.
